Past Concerts and Events - 1980s

Details of concerts in the 1980s are incomplete. Unfortunately early band account books, which would have provided some pointers to other non-charity concerts (e.g. mayor makings) simply by recording a payment, were mislaid during a bandroom move a number of years ago.
Concerts prior to 1988 listed here are from a collection of programmes, personal memories, correspondence, or the chance appearance of other documents detailing the event (e.g. local paper cuttings.). Concerts from 1988 onwards also include details from the accounts books, so some charity concerts may be missing due to the band not receiving any payments. In addition the accounts sometimes only record the payment date, which could be a number of weeks after the concert. Concert dates with question-marks next to them did take place, but the listed date may be a little later than actual date. Many of the ""Bandtime"" concerts were mentioned in advance in the Gravesend Reporter, and were also reported upon afterwards. The articles were written by the band secretary Eric Turner and sent to the paper, some were edited before inclusion.
